How would you describe the mission of this project to a friend?
A brief history
Located in El Segundo, Financialize the Future Foundation was created by Nury Gomez and her family. They are a family of entrepreneurs dedicated to teaching financial literacy and wisdom to the community. Before the pandemic, Nury had been offering free workshops but in 2022, she decided to come back with a full-formed non-profit.
Where we are today
Nury and the Foundation are quickly working on expanding. On August 24th, 2022, the Foundation gave out their first scholarship.
Nury over the summer held the Jr. Entrepreneurs workshop, teach children the value and benefits of financial literacy.
Nury alongside Roberto Martinez, a Google Digital Coach, held two small business workshops to help the local business owners. The first was held on August 24th, 2022 and the second on September 28th, 2022.
When you get your first check, no matter how little, take the first 10% to "Pay Yourself First" and put away to save. Thank you Frances Weber for having me talk to the teenagers working for the Boys and Girls Club in Venice and for supporting their financial intelligence. The sooner they learn this discipline, the sooner they will begin to build their net worth.
